What Is Parvo Virus: Big Pharma’s Prescription Drugs Cash Cow – What To Look Out For

I realize it’s a bit late but I’m just becoming aware of your website. My dog is 11, doesn’t have parvo, but she has other issues…Fat deposits, arthritis and other ailments that older dogs acquire as they age. She is now dehydrated, as I have read the dehydration symptoms. I have to admit, I’ve gone to the vet and am very disappointed. The meds they have prescribed for her were simply taking us in a circle. Antibiotics were causing nausea so we had to give her meds for the nausea. The nausea was causing her not to drink or eat and were causing her to be lethargic. More meds were prescribed to alleviate her from being lethargic and so on and so forth. I have just given her the tea, as I am at a loss. NO MORE MEDS……UUGGHHH I just gave her the first two doses of the tea and she is breathing normal and seems as if she is FINALLY resting peacefully without the rough breathing. I will do what it takes as I’m not ready to give her up. She has helped me keep my sanity through the roughest time of my life. I am here for her as she was there for me. The May 1, 2012 comment submitted by Michelle is an outrage in and of itself. She is obviously a vet that is losing out on revenue. She really needs to get over it, as the majority of businesses are experiencing the same outcome. REAL ANIMAL LOVERS conduct the research needed to ensure their best friends, sounding boards and unconditional love buddies are forever safe and out of the danger zone. I still owe my vet over $400, but at least they allow payment plans…hmmmmmm I wonder why. I’m sure its for folks like Michelle. Thank you so much for developing this website. This next section is rather hardcore – i.e. it will be very negative toward drug makers and drug pushers (i.e. vets). So, if anyone reading this is beholden to those folks, you will get your feelings hurt. If you’re incapable of doing some independent thought and independent research then come what may. This site is about natural cost-effective alternatives. If you only can only rehash big pharma propaganda, then don’t waste your time and don’t bother leaving baseless comments as they will summarily be trashed.

People should be asking the question of how is it possible for vaccinations to be a 30-Billion Dollar industry or more, to the point how is it possible for prescription drugs to be Trillion Dollar a year industry?

Simple: make lots of (empty) promises or implications to cure an issue – but never do, create additional problems which of course need more solutions – but never quite get the job done, and find ways to get people hooked so they have to come back multiple times.

Here’s the perfect case in point.

Background:

Start by creating a fear/scare campaign. Let’s say you spread the word that there is a terrible and extremely contagious virus going around (of course with highly suspicious origins) and the only way to protect yourself from the ill effects is to vaccinate.

You do whatever it takes to convince an unsuspecting population that the world as we know will cease to exist if everyone does not get vaccinated…yada yada. You get the idea…

After tons of people buy into this propaganda then expect lots of willing participants. Now for those that are on the fence, you just use all the coercive tactics that you can think of to get them to come in for shots. If you need some examples check this post out – it is rather shocking what routinely goes on to get the undecided to force their kids, pets, and adults too into vaccinating. The post is called Immunization Ploys – 30 Tactics Used By The Medical Profession To Hoodwink The Public.

Vets use the same type of tactics. Many will even withhold treatment if people do not allow them to vaccinate prior to routine procedures. That is a guarantee of steady income. And BTW, vaccinations account for the primary income source for vets and most clinics. It is no wonder that there is such a strong push to keep people coming in for more and more vaccinations – they are super cheap to make and administer.

But let’s take a closer look at how to really parlay vaccinations into an even larger payday.

  1. Unsuspecting brow-beaten people bring their pets in for vaccinations. This can cost up to a $200 with the pad-the-bill mentality.
  2. A few hours or days later the pet owner notices their animal is sick – showing signs of Parvo. They call the vet and they are instructed to bring the pet back in. This means get your wallet out, expect to pay another $200 or $300 for all kinds of drugs, saline solution (i.e. a bag of salty water), and other fees.
  3. The next day or two you see your pet is getting worse even though you gave him all of the drugs as prescribed by the vet. You place another call and you are instructed to bring him back in. This time you will have to leave him for some unspecified number of overnight stays. You are given a 50-50 chance at survival and you are told that this will cost you a few thousand dollars. You are asked to pay a substantial non-refundable deposit and at the conclusion regardless of the outcome, the remainder of the bill must be settled.
  4. A few days later if you are one of the lucky ones, your pet is still alive but has not really gotten rid of the virus. You take him home only to see he is still very sick. So, after a few thousand dollars and a lot of anguish you get on the Internet and you find one of our Parvo sites, get confirmation that you have more-or-less been taken for a very expensive ride by your vet and you end up ordering one of our ParvoBuster Parvo Treatment Kits for a fraction of what you just paid to the vet.
  5. After stopping all the prescription drugs and only using our protocols, within a couple of days later, your pet makes a huge improvement. A day or so after that he is eating and holding it down. He is now making a full recovery.

Now this may sound like just a story, but this exact scenario has happened countless numbers of times and mostly will continue. What is important here is to understand the vet’s agenda. Sure, initially they may have gotten into veterinary medicine to save animals, but reality sets in when your landlord comes looking for a big rent check every four weeks. As well as all of the other expenses: payroll, utilities, creditors, fixed and variable expenses come due quickly as four weeks fly by. So, your vet needs a way to get steady income to offset a bunch of expenses – that’s where the drug companies step in. They help out by providing an array of “free samples”.

The vet takes these free samples, e.g. vaccinations and charges their customer full retail and other fees to make a $200 bill from free samples. Hmm, get free samples, charge $200 a pop, spend 5 minutes, rinse and repeat. Do you see the potential? Who would say no to that kind of free money? A few of those cases a day will make a viable business.

Now of course, those kind of coveted freebies won’t last forever. Once you are hooked, the drug rep will simply say “oh sorry we ran out of free vaccination samples, but we do have free antibiotic samples”. Now the vet has to really push to get folks in for vaccinations – here comes the post cards, emails, phone calls, reminding you that you must get those vaccinations – or else (they usually add something to make you feel guilty or ashamed).

The vaccinations are just the starting point to get people in the door. The vet knows or should know that Parvo is ubiquitous, meaning it is anywhere and everywhere. So, technically most animals have already been exposed to the virus and by vaccinating them with “modified live virus” particles and a host of other toxic chemicals engineered to grossly impede the animal’s natural immune system – i.e. leaving him totally defenseless against Parvo and any other germs/bacteria in the environment you have pretty much insured that the animal will come down with Parvo and perhaps other things.

Thus the animal has to be brought back in for much more expensive drugs and various procedures. This apparently is today’s business model: introduce a serious problem and claim to have the only solution – creating panic, guilt, and hopelessness to ensure that the pet owner returns to the scene of the crime as it were.

All of this may sound callous but this is what is happening on a daily basis nation-wide. And with a bad economy, who knows what additional tactics could be used.

Now as Sasha mentioned. her dog did not even have Parvo, yet the vet had her come in several times, prescribing all sorts of drugs that never solved any problems, instead made matters worse. What happened, she had to spend over $400 dollars, had more problems than she started with, and she ended up using our Parvo Emergency Tea to help remedy her dog’s dehydration. Sadly, in the medical industry it is all about profits – insane profits that is. If you happen to luck up on the old-school country vet, you might find a caring individual and he may not be about the insane profit model, but these folks are hard to find. They typical commercial vet is looking for ways to get more dollars in with very little going, and spend the least amount of time on each patient in order to keep those exam rooms open for the next customer.

Sorry, this went on for so long, but we just feel that people are not asking the right questions. The pharmaceutical industry is huge. They have the manufacturing sorted, they have multiple distribution channels, they have plenty of incentivized programs, such as the free samples, volume discounts (sell more get big price breaks), kick backs, and on and on. You don’t get to be a trillion-dollar-a-year industry by sheer chance.

If you are reading this post and still think this is just conspiracy theory, then just look at what happened to Sasha and her dog.

Doesn’t that sound ridiculous? Where is the solution? It sounds like a ploy to get her to buy more useless side-effect-producing drugs. There is a name for this: residual income. Figure out ways to get people to come back and buy more stuff that most like won’t really solve the initial problem, but will instead cause other problems to keep that revolving-cash door swinging.

OK, if you haven’t guessed by now, we do not have a high opinion of vets, so what do we do instead – especially given the fact that we have no clue even where are nearest vet is?
